The bike tour starts with your journey to Strasbourg and ends on the eighth day in this largest city of Alsace. In between, there are sporty and active days on the bike, on which you cycle a total of 320 kilometres. Daily stages between 25 and 70 kilometres on easy bike paths - often even through the vineyards. A short stop at one of the excellent wineries is well worth it!
You drive through villages and along the canal from Marckolsheim to the art city of Colmar. This fairytale village was also the main source of inspiration for the village of Beauty and the Beast. Colmar is an authentic French art town with a rich history dating back to the 8th century. A city walk also starts at Museum d'Unterlinden, which is located opposite the Office du Tourisme. The description of the walk can be purchased for 50 euro cents at the Office du Tourisme. With this city walk, you really don't miss anything about this unique city.
You say goodbye to Colmar. On beautifully landscaped cycle paths it goes via Neuf-Brisach to Ottmarsheim. It is worth visiting the basilica from the 12th century. You continue your route along the Rhine Canal, which leads you to the centre of Mulhouse.
The villages of Eguisheim, Turckheim, Kaysersberg and Riquewihr are among the most beautiful and famous villages of the wine route. Take the time for a wine tasting!
In Rosheim, Alsatian Romanticism reaches its peak with the 12th-century Church of St. Pierre and Paul. Follow the Bruche Canal to Strasbourg.
