You cycle on well-sign-posted bike paths and gravel roads as well as side streets with less traffic, short sections are on streets with more traffic. To some extent, there are simpler trail conditions with raw gravel. Flat to slightly hilly tour itinerary.
Individual arrival in Stockholm. Take your first walking tour of the Swedish capital and explore some of its many sights and tourist attractions. In the evening, a welcome briefing and bike adjustment (if rental bikes are included) will take place. Overnight in Stockholm.
Along Lake Mälar, Sweden’s third largest lake you cycle to UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Drottningholm Palace. Here, on the shore of the lake, the royal family grew up. Take your time to explore the beautiful palace as well as the Chinese Pavilion dating from the 18th century. You continue your tour across bridges on to the island of Södermalm. You also pass the old town of Stockholm, Gamla Stan with its cobblestone alleys and inviting coffee shops and the island of Skeppsholmen with an impressive modern art sculpture garden. Overnight in Stockholm.
By train (incl. your luggage) you continue to Gothenburg. In the afternoon there is enough time to explore Gothenburg by foot. Discover Sweden's second largest city from the water during a boat tour, visit the harbor with its walk-in historic ships, the Maritiman museum is also worth seeing. Enjoy a cinnamon bun in the popular Hage district and stroll along the boulevard Kungsportsavenyn. Garden lovers visit the park Trädgårdsföreningen, art lovers the Gothenburg Art Museum.
You cycle out of the city, past Särö, the former playground of the old royal family and high society of Gothenburg. Cliffs, lush forests, coves and marinas line your path. In the late afternoon, you will reach Kungsbacka, a pleasant town with an impressive old town.
Enjoy the breathtaking views on today's route past horse farms and pastures, in addition, the Li cemetery with more than 100 stone megaliths awaits you. Once you reach Åsa, the sea accompanies you again and leads you to Varberg. As you approach the town, the castle towers in front of you. Optionally, you can visit the Fort and the Bockstensmann, a medieval male body from the 14th century (not included).
Look forward to picturesque fishing villages and handicrafts. In Träslövsläge you can enjoy freshly cooked lobsters and stroll through the older parts of the city. Today's stage finish is Falkenberg, one of the oldest towns in the area. Then you travel by train (not included) within 90 minutes to Helsingborg where you stay overnight.
After breakfast, the ferry (approx. SEK 450 per person, not included) takes you to Helsingør in just 20 minutes and you have reached the Danish territory. Take some time to stroll through the picturesque harbour town and visit Kronoberg Palace before continuing past beautiful sandy beaches, stunning scenery and beautifully scented forests to Copenhagen, Denmark's bustling capital and cycling city par excellence.
